A significant development in the department’s history occurred in 2019 when it partnered with Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside Police Departments to establish a regional dispatch center. This initiative significantly improved information sharing between these departments, enhancing their collective ability to respond to and manage incidents across the wider region.
