The Carlsbad Police Department offers four ways to get a copy of your traffic report.

In-Person

You can visit the Carlsbad Police Department and fill out a Public Records Request Report. You must provide a valid photo ID and pay the appropriate fee at the time of pick up.

Contact the Carlsbad Police Department and request a copy of your report. You can have the report mailed to you or pick it up in person, once it’s available. You will be notified via email or phone when your report has been processed and is available.

Copies of police record reports are $11 per copy.

Accident reports are filled out by a police officer who responds to the scene of an accident. These documents can be used as evidence for insurance purposes. Inside a crash report, you’ll find information including:
