You can get a copy of your Carson police report at AccidentReports.com, or you can go through the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office provides two options for accident victims in need of obtaining a copy of their traffic collision report.

In-Person

You can visit the Carson Sheriff’s Station in person. You must provide accident details, including your full name, the time, date, and location of the accident, and the report number (if available), and pay the crash report fee. You will also need to show your valid photo ID.

You can send a written accident report request to the Carson Sheriff’s Station and include accident details, such as the date, time, and location of the accident, the report number (if available), a self-addressed, stamped envelope, the crash report fee, and a copy of your valid photo ID.

Carson Sheriff Station accident reports will cost $6 to $25 per copy.

• The time, date, and location of the accident
• The names and contact details for all parties involved
• The law enforcement officer’s opinion regarding which driver was at fault and how and why the accident occurred
• A diagram of the accident scene
• A description of bodily injuries, vehicle damage, and personal property damage
• Insurance information
• Registration information
• Driver’s license numbers
• Vehicle plate numbers
• Any citations issued
• Any arrests made
• Police actions
• Road and weather conditions
• Anything that may have contributed to the accident, such as a road closure, safety hazards, unseasonable weather, debris on the road, obscured traffic signs, etc.

The filing of reports depends on accident type and complexity. A collision report involving a simple accident will be available within ten business days. Accident reports that involve a fatality, crime, or significant bodily injury may be unavailable for several months
