You can get a copy of your Irvine police report at AccidentReports.com, or you can go through the Irvine Police Department.
The Irvine Police Department in Orange County offers two ways to obtain a copy of your traffic report.

In-Person

You can request a copy of your motor vehicle collision report in person by visiting the Irvine Police Department’s Business Desk. You must fill out a Records Request form and pay the appropriate fee at the time of pick up.
Contact the department during regular business hours to ensure your report is available.
Business hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

By Mail

You can send a notarized written request to the Irvine Police Department. You must include a copy of your government-issued photo ID, report number, the appropriate fee, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Irvine traffic accident reports are $6 per copy.

• The names and contact information for all parties involved in the collision
• The responding police officer’s opinion regarding who they believe was at fault for the crash and how it occurred
• A diagram of the accident site
• A description of property damage/vehicle damage
• A description of accident injuries such as broken bones, head trauma, etc.
• Insurance information
• Vehicle driver registration
• Driver’s license numbers
• License plate numbers/VINs
• Eyewitness accounts
• Road and weather conditions
• Accident type, such as truck accident, motorcycle crash, bicycle collision, auto-pedestrian collision, multi-car crash, etc

Authorized parties that can receive this type of report include:

• All parties involved in the collision
• The parent or legal guardian of the minor involved in the crash
• Vehicle owner
• Personal insurance carrier
• Accident attorney law firm

It can take ten to twelve business days before accident victims receive their reports. If it was a fatal collision or injury accident, it can take several weeks or months before you receive your report. Fatal crash reports are only available with in-person requests.
