In-Person Requests

You can visit the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Jurupa Valley Station, and fill out a Records Release Form. You must wait ten days after the date of the crash before you request your report. Contact the department directly before you attempt to pick up your report in person to ensure it has been processed and is available. Mail requests are processed in the order they are received. If you have not received your report in the mail after ten business days, contact the department.

Accident reports are legal documents that are filled out by law enforcement officers who respond to the scene of an accident. These reports will include the contact details for all parties involved, the time date, and location of the accident, insurance information, driver’s license numbers, vehicle plate numbers, statements from each driver involved, and a description of any injuries or vehicle damage sustained in the accident. Eligible parties who can obtain a copy of a traffic accident report include all parties involved in the crash, vehicle owners, insurance companies, the parent or legal guardian of a minor involved in the crash, accident attorneys, and law enforcement agencies.
