Crash Data Requests By Mail 

To receive your report by mail, you can send a written request to the Garland Police Department. You must include payment, a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and your contact information, including your email and mailing address. A report by mail may take longer to process, depending on how many requests the department receives during a given week.

Your accident police records report should be available in eight business days. If it was a fatal accident, the collision involved criminal activities, or there were severe personal injuries, record availability may take several weeks or months.

Certified copies of accident investigation reports are $8. Uncertified copies of traffic reports are $6. Accepted forms of payment include credit cards, debit cards, money orders, or personal checks.
