You can get a copy of your San Francisco County police report at AccidentReports.com, or you can go through the San Francisco County Sheriff’s Department

The San Francisco County Sheriff’s Department offers two ways to obtain a copy of your crash report.

In-Person Records Requests 

Visit the department in person and provide a valid form of photo identification, fill out the Records Release Form, and pay the accident report fee. Acceptable forms of payment include personal check, debit card, credit card, or money order.

Online Report Request 

Visit the San Francisco County Sheriff’s Office website to learn how to obtain a copy of your online police report.

Accident report requests are processed within five to seven business days.

• The names and contact details of all parties involved including physical address, email address, phone number, mailing address
• Time of accident 
• The exact location of accident 
• Date of accident
• Incident type 
• A description of bodily injuries
• A description of vehicle damage and additional property losses and property details 
• A diagram of the collision site
• Insurance information
• License plate numbers
• Driver’s license numbers
• Actions of police officers, including any citations issued or arrests made
• Witness statements and contact information
• Driver and passenger statements
• Actions of drivers and passengers
• Additional details of anything that may have contributed to the crash
• The police officer’s accident investigation findings detailing how and why the accident occurred and which driver was at fault

Eligible parties that can obtain an original report include:

• Insurance companies
