You can fill out the form at AccidentReports.com and submit your accident information or you can get a copy of your traffic report from the Central Records Division.The Central Records Division acts as the central repository for traffic accidents that the Maryland State Police respond to. The Central Records Division offers two ways to obtain a copy of a Maryland police report. The MSPD does not offer copies of a report via email at this time.

Request Your Police Accident Report In-Person

You can obtain your report by mail using the online Report Request Form. Requests for copies of traffic reports can take up to ten business days to process. Prior to picking up your report in person, contact the MSPD to ensure the report has been processed.Phone: (410) 281-2700Requests for Maryland police reports are processed in the order they’re received. It can take several days or weeks before you receive your report in the mail.

An MSP Investigation Report will contain the following information:

• The time, date, and location of the traffic collision
• Names and contact information of all parties involved
• VINs
• Vehicle registration information
• License plate numbers
• Driver’s license numbers
• A diagram of the accident scene
• Name and badge number of the reporting police officer and police agency
• A description of any personal injuries and vehicle damage/personal property damage
• Anything that may have contributed to the auto accident ( debris on the road, inclement weather, poor road conditions, etc.)
• The police officer’s opinion regarding how and why the automobile accident occurred and which driver they believe was liable
• Witness names and contact information
• Any traffic citations issued (DUI, DWI, speeding, etc.)
• Insurance policy information
• Type of crash (semi-truck, scooter, rollover, rear-end collision, head-on collision, bicycle accident, pedestrian accident)

The cost of injury crash reports is $4.00. Forms of payment accepted include checks or money orders. Checks and money orders must be made payable to Maryland State Police.

The following people or entities qualify for the release of records for Maryland accident reports:

• Any involved party
• The legal guardian of a minor involved in an accident
• Law enforcement agency
