You can get a copy of your Charlotte police report at AccidentReports.com, or you can go through the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Headquarters.The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Headquarters offers three ways to get a copy of your collision report.

Requests for Accident Reports In-Person

You can visit the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Headquarters in person and fill out a Records Request form to obtain a copy of your traffic report. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Headquarters is located at:601 E Trade StreetCharlotte, NC28202

Request Report for Accident By Phone

Contact the department by phone to request a copy of your report. Reports must be picked up in person. Phone: (704) 336-2848Normal business hours: Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Accident Report Requests By Mail

Send a written request, along with payment, a self-addressed stamped envelope, and the appropriate fee to:ATTN: Records Section601 E Trade StreetCharlotte, NC28202

Traffic reports are $3.50 per copy.

• The names and contact information for all parties involved
• Time and date of accident
• Location of accident
• Insurance information
• Diagram of the accident scene
• Driver’s license numbers
• The opinion of the reporting law enforcement officer concerning who they believe was responsible for the collision
• Weather and road conditions
• License plate numbers/VINs
• A description of the injuries sustained in the accident
• Details about damages to vehicles and personal property damage
• Reporting law enforcement agency
• Accident type, such as motorcycle crash, SUV crash, fatal motor vehicle crash, crash with injury, etc.

• All parties involved in the accident
• The parent or legal guardian of a minor involved in the crash
