Visit the Delaware State Police Department’s website to download and print a copy of their Collision Information Exchange Form. In addition to the form, you must include:

  • Accident information, such as your full name, the time, date, and location of the accident
  • Payment for the collision report
  • A self-addressed stamped envelope

Unfortunately, the department does not allow in-person record requests for crash reports and does not offer electronic vehicle crash reports at this time.

When Will My Traffic collision Report Be Available?

You should receive a copy of your motor vehicle crash report within fourteen business days unless there is an active accident investigation. If you have not received your report after this time, contact the Delaware State Police during regular business hours:Phone: (302) 739-5931.Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.

How Much Do Copies of Crime Reports Cost?

Copies of crime reports for traffic incidents are $25.00 per copy. For a fatal accident, reports are $60.00 per copy. Accepted forms of payment include money order or personal check made payable to the Delaware State Police Department.
