Requests for Public Records In-Person

Requests for Records By Mail

You can receive a copy of your CA accident report by mail. Visit the El Cajon Police Department’s website and download the request form. You must include a copy of your valid photo ID, the appropriate fee, and the request form, and mail it to:100 Civic Center WayEl Cajon, CA92020

After the department has received your report request you must wait for seven to ten business days to allow for processing.

Copies of reports are $10.00 each. Accepted forms of payment include credit cards, debit cards, money orders, and cashier’s checks. Money orders and cashier’s checks must be made payable to the City of El Cajon. For mail orders, only cashier’s checks or money orders are accepted.
