In-Person

Visit the Modesto Police Department in Stanislaus County in person and fill out a request form. At the police station, you will need to fill out a Records Request Form and provide accident information and personal information, including your full name, mailing address, and phone number, and provide some form of identification at the time of the request. You must wait ten days after the date of the accident to request a copy of your report. Contact the police department before you pick up your accident report to ensure it’s available. You can send a written request to the Modesto Police Department to obtain copies of collision reports. You will need to provide accident information, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope, payment, and a copy of a valid form of identification. The cost for a traffic report is $0.10 per page.

It can take up to ten business days before your report arrives.
